Alcohol consumption in Germany is on the decline – a statistic explanation is the general trend toward more health-conscious lifestyles, but another are the closed gastronomiesduring the pandemic. Because beer in particular was sold less – while wine consumption remained about the same on average. At the ProWein trade fair in Düsseldorf, which has now come to an end, the trend was recognized. Non-alcoholic beverages are filling a market niche.
